Mentor FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions – BB Volunteer Mentorship Program
When is the application period?
Applications are scheduled to take place in March 2026:
Students from partner schools and institutions: from March 2 to 27
BB apprentices: from March 16 to 27

What are the requirements to participate?
To apply, the applicant must:
- Be between 15 and 26 years old;
- Be currently enrolled in or have completed high school (for graduates, enrollment in higher education is not required);
- Be a student from a public school system;
- Have availability to participate in online sessions;
- Have access to the internet;
- Have a device with a working camera and microphone (mobile phone or computer).
Applicants must provide their full name at the time of registration (this will be used on the certificate).
They must also provide a valid email address and WhatsApp number—these contacts will be used to confirm registration and send Mentorship materials.
What documents are required for registration?
At the time of application, the applicant must complete a form and upload the following documents:
- Signed Authorization Form (by a legal guardian, if under 18);
- Copy of ID (front and back);
- Profile photo.
How will the selection process work?
Selection will be carried out on a first-come, first-served basis—based on the date and time of application. All applicants who correctly submit their documents will be accepted until all available spots are filled.
If an applicant does not respond within the established deadline, they will be moved to the end of the queue and/or to the waiting list, depending on availability. Other applicants will remain on the waiting list.
Does being on the waiting list mean being excluded from the program?
No. Applicants on the waiting list may be called to replace participants who withdraw, as long as it is within the replacement period.
Are the sessions held online?
Yes. All mentorship sessions are conducted online and last 1 hour. The use of a camera and microphone is essential for effective interaction with the mentor.
How many sessions are included in the program?
The program consists of 8 online sessions, including:
- 3 group sessions: Onboarding, Follow-up, and Celebration;
- 5 individual sessions: weekly 1-hour meetings between mentor and mentee.
Do participants receive support materials? How?
Yes. Each participant receives a support manual and specific materials before each session. The materials are made available in the Mentee Dashboard area. All necessary support materials for the mentorship will be fully accessible in this environment.
When do the group sessions take place?
The dates for the group sessions are scheduled in advance and communicated to participants:
- Onboarding: at the beginning of the program;
- Follow-up: midway through the cycle;
- Celebration: at the end, including certificate delivery.
What about the sessions with mentors?
These are scheduled directly between the mentor and mentee, according to their availability. Each pair decides the best day, time, and platform to meet. Sessions may also take place on weekends, as agreed by both parties.
Do participants receive support during the mentorship?
Yes! Support is primarily provided through the official WhatsApp group, as well as via email at: mentoria@v2v.net.
I am a BB apprentice. Do I need to attend the mentorship during working hours?
Not necessarily. Sessions may take place during working hours, provided there is approval from your supervisor and availability from the mentor. It is also possible to schedule sessions outside working hours.
When will the next application opportunity be available?
The program takes place every semester. If you are unable to participate now, you can apply in the next edition!
Can I apply for more than one mentorship at the same time?
No. To ensure focus and a high-quality experience, participants are allowed to take part in only one mentorship per semester.
Do participants receive a certificate of participation?
Yes! Upon completing the program, participants receive a Certificate of Completion, including the total workload, topics covered, and the signature of Banco do Brasil’s People and Culture Management Board (DIPES).
Do all participants receive the certificate?
Yes, provided they have attended all 5 mentorship sessions and completed all program evaluations. The name on the certificate cannot be edited, as it will be issued exactly as provided during registration. The certificate can be downloaded from the Mentee Dashboard (the same platform used to access support materials).
Do parents or guardians have questions? Can they attend the sessions?
